私のバニラ・アイスコーヒーのカップには、英語と日本語で「WcDonald’s」と書かれていた。
アニメによく登場する架空のハンバーガーチェーン「ワクドナルド（WcDonald’s）」が現実に？　米マクドナルドが2月26日（現地時間）から限定パッケージやコンテンツなどのキャンペーンを実施します。

フィクション作品では、商標権などの関係で実在の企業そのままではなく、似た架空の企業が登場することがあります。マクドナルドをパロディにした「ワクドナルド」もその1つ。米マクドナルドは、それを現実にするキャンペーンを実施します。キャンペーンの一環として、「ワックナゲット」向けに「Savory Chili WcDonald’s Sauce」（セイボリーチリワクドナルドソース）を期間限定で提供。生姜とニンニク、しょう油とチリフレークを使ったソースです。

漫画やアニメも
漫画スタイルのイラストを得意とする日本人アーティスト、Acky Brightさんがデザインしたワクドナルドのパッケージを制作。ワクドナルドの店員を描いたパッケージを期間限定で提供します。パッケージのコードをスキャンすると、ワクドナルドの常連客と店員が登場する漫画を毎週閲覧できます。
スタジオぴえろによるワクドナルドの初の公式アニメも制作。アニメの4大ジャンル「アクション」「ロマンス」「メカ」「ファンタジー」をテーマにした4本の短編が毎週展開されます。特設サイトや限定パッケージのコードから閲覧可能。
異世界アニメのジャンルから着想を得て、3月9日～10日（米国時間）には現実世界にワクドナルドを召喚。ロサンゼルスの店舗で、360度プロジェクションマッピングと没入型テーブルプロジェクションでワクドナルドの世界を体験する「WcDonald’s Immersive Dining Experience」を実施します（28日からOpenTableで予約受付）。
